History

CAREO was created in April 2008 through the merger of Cascades & Reno De Medici; both companies merged all their recycled assets. The virgin fibre mills remain on the ownership of Cascades.
Before the merger, Cascades was present in Europe for more than 20 years whereas Reno De Medici grew gradually since 1967 mainly in Italy, but also in Spain :
